We dribbled out of the tuk tuk in front of the subzi mandi (Hindi for “vegetable market”). Rafiq indicated the vegetable wallas across the street with a smile.
“Go and do battle,” he grinned. “I’ll wait for you at the other end.”
Armed with my camera, I did just that.
Exhilarated by the colors and activity, I got a second wind. That was good, because there was more to see. The spice market was next.
